Assessment Appeals Division

The Assessment Appeals Division provides administrative support to the Assessment Appeals Board that decides disputes between the Assessor’s Office and taxpayers regarding assessment values. The Division functions independently and separately from the Assessor’s Office and collaborates with County departments and appellants throughout the appeals process.

Board Operations Division 

The Board Operations Division serves as a liaison between the County’s legislative bodies and its constituents. Internally, the Division provides administrative, operational, and technical support for the Board of Supervisors, Policy Committees, and more than 40 Boards and Commissions that provide advisory opinions and recommendations to the Board. Externally, the Division works closely with the public to keep them informed of meetings and to ensure their comments are provided timely to the Board of Supervisors, Policy Committees, other Boards and Commissions, and the public at large.

Records Division 

The Records Division maintains all State-mandated records for the Board of Supervisors, including records of public meetings of the Board of Supervisors, Policy Committees, Advisory Boards and Commissions, as well as State-mandated records and documents. The Division also serves as the Filing Official for the County for Conflict of Interest filings, supports the application and onboarding processes for Boards and Commissions, processes and maintains lobbyist filings, and issues tax clearance certificates.
