Board Policy

The purpose of this policy is to ensure that tickets or passes provided to the County are distributed in accordance with the Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC) Regulation 18944.1. The new regulation lays out circumstances when the County's distribution of tickets or passes, when no consideration of equal or greater value is provided by the public official or employee does not result in a gift to the public official or employee, provided the tickets or passes are distributed and accounted for in compliance with a policy adopted by the County in accordance with Regulation 18944.1.

The policy applies to every County official required to file an annual State of Economic Interests (FPPC Form 700), including designated employees, board or commission members, and other appointed or elected officials.
