Lobbyist Filings

Lobbyists are required to register and report their lobbying activities with the County. The Santa Clara County Ordinance Code defines "Lobbying Activity" as an individual or entity “influencing or attempting to influence a County Official with regard to a legislative or administrative action of the County.” Contract, In House, Expenditure, and Land Use Lobbyists as defined in the Ordinance Code must register with the Records Division and report to the County on a quarterly basis. Interim reports may also be required, depending on the Ordinance Code.
